Been to Batu Caves, Selangor on last 8th of February after shooting Rahman & Timie engagement at Klang the day before. This was my first time shooting Thaipusam festival and I got only 1 mission on this one - to MAKE photo, not just to shoot! that's a lots of different my friend. With my partner in crime-Apek, we started shooting from as early as 7.00am. Bla bla bla..too much talking..just enjoy the pictures lah! and tell me which one you like most..thanks!

Fire! Fire!

Shooting for my client solemnization here at Sg. Abong, Muar Johor and the event are near to end. I just started to take a break when out of a sudden, few people shout.. "tengok! asap laa! rumah terbakar! rumah terbakar!!" (look! smoke laa! burning house! burning house!!") And as a hero, I came for rescue..
 
 
And then the fire stop. The end.

Borneo Headhunter (Part 4-finale)
|
|
Now proceed with the final part of the journey to Sipadan. From Semporna we depart to Mabul, where Megat and me going to stay for another 3 days. Not really a big island but good enough to make your brain full of memories, pack with joyful place and leave you with aching legs.
By the way, to any visitors who just following this series, I suggest start browsing from Borneo Headhunter (Part 1) entry which is here. No! not there! I said here.
This part will brings you to the everyday life at the island. Two minorities stay here - Bajau Laut and Suluk. Few resorts with neck-hanging-room-fee. So thus we stay at Uncle Chang, a budget resort that comes with members that will bug you every night with a jamming session and parties.
So stay with me coz this gonna be a long moment of indulgence and a happy ending. Let me start by going to Bajau Laut village.
Megat started with a moment of thinking on how to tackle Bajau Laut girl.
 
 
 
 
"Ahah! A victim! Hii lady~~" Megat said.
The houses path are full with kids playing, while inside the house another bunch of kids reciting Quran.
 
 
So that's Suluk. Proceed to Bajau Laut, some of them are still nomad for your info.
 
So she learned to wear sandal..
 
The background are their house while the foreground (the boat) are also their house. They sleep, cook, breed and play in the boat. This is the reason Megat are so fond to tackle Bajau Laut, they are adventurous, he said.
But they know how to sell the sea shell by the sea shore, she say. (3x)
But before Megat able to tackle any girl, the lord of sea warned him to go away. "You are too fair! #%$&*!!!" the lord said. End of Megat story.
So the village are once again in peace. Horrayy!!

I called this the aquarium. Sipadan can be seen on far right.
 
Mabul snorkeling session started at our favorite long jetty.
So he feel frustrated by the warned from lord of sea. "#$%&^!!!" he said.
Thus he try to seduce something fair, the sea shell.
 
Welcome to another part of the beach.
The search goes on and on and on..
You can choose to lay here...
...or here. Only after desperado hit you twice. Moral of the story: He still single.
Our long awaited moment, watching the stars at jetty with our long lost friends - wind and silence.
...and watching the time goes by.
 
The next day: It's our turn! time for Sipadan!
The divers are ready, so are we.
We reach Sipadan, saw an army post, hmm..not really a big island but pretty.
Now lets check the underwater.

Borneo Headhunter (Part 3)

|
Ok, this time around, the journey are from Kota Kinabalu to Tawau to Semporna. Megat (handsome guy that are attracted to Bajau Laut girls) and me (Bajau Laut idol) stayed at Dragon Inn Semporna before we depart to Mabul, this resort which I think rated near perfect for newlywed to have their honeymoon as this is a floating resort...newlywed are floating right? heee!
Not much happening places at Semporna, but good enough to have a cheap seafood and laying down watching the stars at night near the jetty (only if it's not raining for sure!). And make sure if you plan to go to Semporna, extend your journey to Mabul and Sipadan as that's where happiness can be found. More on that in Part 4-finale.
Part 2 of Borneo Headhunter brings you the indulgence of cold and fresh, so this time around, you can feel anything you want because I just don't want to disturb your feeling anymore. So...so..so just enjoy the pics lahh!
 
 
We arrived at Tawau airport. We took picture looking at the ceiling since we never saw Tawau airport ceiling before.
And this is the place that I brag about-Semporna Dragon Inn resort.
 
 
And we start touring Pekan Semporna finding any cute chick to bring back to KL.
 
But no chicks shows up as our smell are not that nice...maybe. Even makcik selling peanut ignoring us. 
 
 
Cute isn't? I mean, his teeth.
 
Ohhhohhh! I thought I saw my long lost girlfriend, Claire Danes...but not!
Tired walking, lets have a tea first, Kaamatan style(?)
Walking back to our resort but not to our room..
...to watch the star! with the wind blowing heavily on our face. Macam titanic pun ada gak..whatever.
 
Morning after, while breakfast before departing to Mabul (3 days), with a normal view around Semporna, ahhh..
Heyy! heyy! are we done yet? Where's Sipadan? Where's Mabul? Ohh..that should be on another journey. Wait for Borneo Headhunter (Part 4-finale), grab your popcorn and your boyfriend for another thrilling adventure! coming to you soon!

Borneo Headhunter (Part 2)

|
Another part from Sabah Borneo trip. Some of the image(s) might not related to Sabah or its surrounding but just for the sake of capturing the moment. Thus, in order to avoid any symptoms, side effect or travel sickness, viewers are required to just indulge the moment and the feel. This time around, imagine the weather as sitting in front of an open fridge door while the fan are blowing toward you. The moment of indulgence start...now.
Tamparuli Long Hanging Bridge
The view of Mount Kinabalu before misty and cold rain pour heavily on our way to Kinabalu Park. We got to cut through a thick mist on the snakey road on this one.
But manage to arrive safely, with shivering; and I really take nothing, really.
Just when the rain stop, but not the cold.
 
 
 
Ohh! I just realize...we are above the cloud!
But too bad we just couldn't see the peak, the cloud was very thick.
Can you spot a waterfall?
